Complete restoration and modernisation of a period London home
Fireplaces, sash windows and working shutters restored throughout
Contemporary handleless kitchen beneath a slatted timber feature ceiling
Re-fitted throughout with walk-in showers and wall-hung fittings
Landscaped courtyard with renovated brick outbuilding
Full internal repair and redecoration to period proportions
This whole-house project shows both sides of what we do: faithful restoration of a period London home, and confident modern intervention where the family needed it. Throughout the principal rooms, original fireplaces, sash windows and working shutters were carefully restored, with walls and ceilings repaired and redecorated to let the period proportions speak for themselves.
The kitchen takes the opposite approach — a sleek, handleless contemporary design beneath a slatted timber ceiling that brings warmth and rhythm to the space. Bathrooms were re-fitted throughout with walk-in showers and wall-hung fittings, designed to serve a modern household without competing with the character of the house.
Outside, the courtyard garden was landscaped and the brick outbuilding renovated, with the side passage renewed to connect front to back. The result is a period home restored for the next generation — comfortable, light and quietly modern where it counts.
